TECHNICAL MAINTENANCE BASE

Over the past few years, ifly has invested in a high specification Maintenance Base at Megara Airport as well as in a body of highly trained and experienced personnel so as to meet all aircraft maintenance needs. Just a few kilometers outside of Athens, the Maintenance Base is the largest – in terms of surface area – and at the same time one of the most technologically advanced in Southeast Europe. The base was built according to so high specifications so as to ensure its full compliance with EASA Part-145.

More specifically, the base covers a surface area of 3.100 square meters and includes maintenance facilities (aircraft electronic, repair shop/sheet metal plant and battery workshop), gantry, storage spaces, technical documentation library, offices, seminar and staff training rooms, reception area, as well as a staff cafeteria.

CERTIFIED VENDORS

For purposes of meeting additional needs such as fueling, consumables, etc. of the aircraft hosted at the Base, only certified vendors are used. AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE

In conjunction with ifly’s trained technical staff which is certified under EASA part-66, the Base can host for maintenance/repair purposes a wide range of aircraft types for both line and base maintenance.

LINE STATION ATHENS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

ifly operates a line station at Athens International Airport (LGAV) which is the base of the aircrafts (Helicopters & Airplanes) for our flight operations. This enables line maintenance tasks to be carried out during turnaround periods where the aircraft is on the ground and remains at its operating environment.

It includes servicing, troubleshooting, small scheduled inspections as well as preflight checks and pre departing assistance with the highest technical dispatch reliability and standards. The line station improves the operational efficiency since it ensures that the aircraft is airworthy and fit for flight.

SECURITY & SAFETY

ifly also contributes to the safety of the staff as well as machinery and materials. For that reason the Maintenance Base facilities are equipped with advanced technology multilayer safety systems and with an advanced temperature and humidity stabilization system wherever this is required.
